Evan and Jury were checked on first thing this morning. Jury is for sure in season and was standing so she was marked down.
We all walked this morning but I needed to quit after one round as I needed to be at the Peoria post office to pick up the Berean mail and have that at the Berean office all before 8:45 am. Standing in line at the post office I realized I would not make it by then so sent out two texts one to Shirley and one to Vonnie, those are the 2 that usually are early at that office. They got the text because about 3 minutes before I arrived they asked for the code to open the door. Skip was not feeling well so we were short handed. Kathy and Leila were also gone so we were really short help. Shirley had to take over the reading of the letters. Ruth and mom arrived just as Marvin's phone alarm went off at 9:30 am for our prayer time. We waited until they were settled before the prayer. Below are the only pictures I took as I was the only one entering the studies and Bibles the computer this morning. Below Marvin IS working on the computer but he was actually making labels. We had a Bible come back with this label on it.
We were so pleased to see this label Marvin made an entire page of labels then today we put them on every Bible going out today. We heard a motorcycle arrive.
We enjoyed apple pie for our break. I left to drive the Bibles and studies to the Hanna City post office then when I arrived home I saw Israel driving the golf cart so had him give me a ride to the barn. The girls had their roller blades and on and were skating in the gym while listening to music.
When they were finished with that Sarah gave them all a quick lesson on Cookie.
Israel found a snake, Zion picked it up then everyone wanted a turn to hold the snake.
Israel gave golf cart rides while they were waiting for their turns. When everyone had a turn Cookie was put away and Israel took all the kids to the playground. Sarah gave them some cups and plates to play with in the sand of the volley ball court.
Around 2:00 pm the sand truck arrived to shoot sand on to the beach. We had all the kids get on mom's deck to keep them out of the way and safe as he backed that big heavily loaded truck down to the beach.
It was fascinating to watch that sand shooting out.
When the truck was emptied we still needed to move the big pile that did not get on the conveyor belt.
We tried to drag the tarp with the sand down to the beach but it wouldn't budge not matter how hard we pulled. That pile was so heavy we needed shovels and wheel barrows and put everyone to work.
When we had enough off that we could move the tarp we dragged the rest of the sand to the beach.
It was hot heavy work and we were very thankful for the many hands to help.
IF you would like to see the rest of the pictures from this afternoon click HERE. On the way back to the house I checked Mike's new mare Candy. She is a little lonely in that paddock by herself.
Mike decided to go back down and buy her paddock mate so she could have a companion. He is taking the trailer tomorrow to pick her up. She is a a 5 year old very sweet quiet mare about 15.2 hands named Image of Curlin so of course we will call her Curly.
