We both slept good last night and knowing today is Saturday there was no reason to jump out of bed by 5:00 am. We waited until 5:30. I went out early to check the horses and saw that all was well. The middle paddock was going to need a bale by this evening and the hog panel was pulled out and left by the gate. Legacy was quiet in the paddock next to Valiant. I was disappointed to see she was not showing to him. She was completely ignoring him and he was ignoring her. The golf cart was taken over to the barn and left for the Messners to use for the day. After cooking breakfast I got busy, did the dishes, cleaned the stove and started laundry before taking the car over to mom's.Karin was ready to leave when I arrived. Mom had already fed the birds and weeded the flowers on the deck and was in her chair. Tess, Aubry and Mia stopped in. I thought it was to visit with great grandma but instead they were searching for cup. It turned out Rachel had a scavenger hunt for the cousins retreat. Spark and Rhonda stopped in for a visit. Karin has hummingbird feeders at both the sliding glass door to the deck and the front window and today we watched hummingbirds feeding at both of the feeders.

An Easy Saturday
Berlica stopped in to tell me she found a horse out and put it in the paddock with an open gate. She was pretty sure it wasn't one of ours and she was right. The mare was Legacy, she figured out how to lift the gate then pushed it open. After talking it over with Jamie it was decided that Legacy would go home this afternoon. When Karin arrived Mark came up to the barn to help load her. We were pleased she walked quietly into the trailer and stood while clipped to the trailer ties. I was at Ralph and Jamie's by 1:32 pm. Legacy was unloaded and within a few minutes I was on my way home. The stock trailer was unhooked from the truck as Mike is going to need the stock trailer on Monday to pick up another Thoroughbred mare. Her name is Twirling Candy, she was born March 8th, 2015 and won $179527 with 64 starts. She got first place 15 times, second place 18 times and 9 thirds. She is a dark bay. Mike and Diane called this afternoon to tell us they were on the way to pick up a bush hog mower for mom's Kubota. It is used but looks new and the one on mom's Kubota is shot.
Tonight Mark and I went to the Bartonville Diner and shared a walleye meal.
One senior meal has 2 of those large walleye fillets and comes with 2 sides, the vegetable of the day, bread and pudding for dessert. All for $10.45. We choose 2 salads for the two sides and Mark takes the vegetable of the day. From there we went to Aldi to pick up a few items needed for tomorrow's meal. As soon as I got home a double pan of brownies was mixed up with chocolate chip cookie dough dotted throughout the pan. The grandkids like this dessert. That will be served with ice cream.
