Sunny and 82

We had a warm morning that turned into a beautiful summer day. Tomorrow rain moves in along with a cold front and next week winter returns with snow predicted. I think Illinois is very confused today.  Ayanna was teased and covered by Evan before our walk. After our walk Karin arrived to work horse starting first with Galena.

Next out was Ayanna.

Her last mare worked was Hadassah.

She finished just before noon then tacked up Hadassah and took her over to the cabin to meet Ariya and Tess who were coming today to help work with Sally and Missy. Barb, their grandma brought them over.  Pax was glad to see her.
Barb showed me the catfish that Tess had just pulled in right before coming here.
Crazy big! Once the horses were tacked up they left for the death trails.

They had a good ride. IF you would like to see the pictures from this trail ride click HERE. The dogs really enjoyed the trails. Rizzy though panicked at the creek crossing sure that something bad touched her leg.
I snapped pictures of her panic. If interested in the dog pictures click HERE. After the horses were put away the dogs were locked in the house and I left to deliver Bible studies to people willing to grade. Out of the 250 available we have around 40 left to grade so if anyone else is interested in grading just call or send me a text and I will be glad to deliver them. This evening Berlica and Faith were having fun with Cookie.
Mark had a load of gravel delivered today and as soon as he came home from work started spreading that.
Joan used mom's Kubota to take a load of old manure over to mom's garden. This evening mom and Joan worked on mixing that manure into the existing dirt.
Hadassah's udder was checked and is very swollen. We are expecting rain tomorrow when the cold front moves through. so she was taken into the indoor and given a bath. Today was warm enough for baths, tomorrow may not be. I want her clean when she delivers. She is not waxing but is getting close.

Lola was left in the indoor arena for the night. By the time I finished the moon was out super bright. The picture below just doesn't do it justice. It really is a super moon tonight.
