Drop Off and Pick Up

Mark went out early this morning to work on Valiant's pasture.  Each day he has been going into the fields and digging out the sour dock plant that wants to take over.  The picture below was taken this morning. He says its good physical labor and this is instead of going to a gym.
Ruth surprised mom with new wheels this morning before our walk. She had been wanting a new car but these wheels were not that, nope these new wheels made it easier for her to do our walk each morning. Fedi bought big wheels and installed them on her second walker. Sarah got in the way of these new wheels and now instead of the song, "Andrew got ran over by his grandma" the song now goes "Sarah got ran over by her grandma"
She did so well we did almost the entire loop. When we got to Diane's house Joan put the tarp back on Mike's jeep. The rain is suppose to move in tonight.
Karin came this morning to work with Sally and Missy on that new relaxation exercise she is trying out. This had dramatic results with Sally.  Sally is an uptight Walker mare and today for the first time learned how to release all that nervous energy.
She was put in the outdoor arena while Missy was brought into the round pen and instead of galloping around the outdoor she stood quietly at the fence almost sleeping.
Missy was funny. Karin brought her into the round pen and immediately Missy laid down and asked for a treat. That really wasn't what Karin was asking for but Missy got her treat. Missy is smart and figured out pretty quickly what Karin was asking and when she started yawning Karin was pleased.
After that she then asked Missy to lay down for real.

Karin asks Missy to lay flat and then will scratch her belly which Missy loves.
She also loves it when Karin scratches her back.
Missy is really like a dog, smart and wants to please. Speaking of dogs, Studly and Pax were having a ball digging for moles around the round pen.

We took Missy and Sally back to the cabin field, loaded up Joshua and Josiah and took them to Middle Grove for a couple months. Now that the grass is up they need to be with the herd learning herd manners.  They were so thrilled that as soon as they were inside the gate they dropped their heads and started grazing. They started following us when Karin and I started hiking up to the herd then took off at a run when they realized the herd was up ahead.

We noticed the herd looking past us turned around and saw more deer running behind us.

Above is a doe and below is a buck.
They were between us and the round pen.
The boys made it to the top and ran right to their mothers.  In the picture below left to right is Madiera who is Joshua's dam, then Joshua, then Josiah then Josiah's dam Jewel.
When we got to the top of the hill Noel came driving up on a 4 wheeler. She didn't know we were coming and we didn't know she was there.
It didn't take long for Noel to be surrounded.
Ripper had to show off for the new comers.

We loaded up Galena and Soul for the trip back to Hanna City. Galena just happened to be in season and was covered today by Valiant. Galena was put in the paddock next to Evan and Ayanna put in with her. This will make it easier to tease Ayanna.
This evening Mark wanted help removing the light fixture from the stall barn.
He is taking down the florescent and replacing it with LED.
This evening while working on the pictures from today found some pictures from last night of Indy and Oksana with their colts in the pond pasture.
