HE is RISEN...He is Risen Indeed. This Easter Sunday was not at all like ANY of our other Easter Sundays and yet still the same. We still can celebrate the empty tomb and can still be thankful. Ruth and Fedi left their big monitor at mom's on Good Friday so today it was easy to just pull out of the second bedroom and hook it up. David Obergfel had the Easter message. Even though we can't meet as a church we can still worship together through Facebook live.
We had church lunch afterwards and because it was Easter we had roast beef, mushrooms, wild rice, salad with all the fixins, deviled eggs, empty tomb rolls and brownies for desert. We couldn't eat together because of the virus but each family was able to fill a pan and take it back to their house to eat.
My children wanted to celebrate my 65th birthday today but of course couldn't come in person, (my birthday isn't for 2 more days) but sent this early. It really is the BEST gift I've ever received!
We had a quiet evening. Ruth and I played games at mom's and had almost finished when the electricity went out in the entire neighborhood and beyond. I used Mark's headlight to clean Lola's stall and bring in Soul again. It is raining and very dark out but no wind so we are not sure why we have no power.
Lola's 3 day old filly is more than likely sold.
I'm thankful for the home she will have. I'll mark her sold when the deposit arrives. Today I took Lola and her filly out to graze again, the filly was running circles around her mom but made the circle just a little too big and all of a sudden realized she lost her mom. She ran right to me. Lola came running up about then too so all ended well.
Mark worked on our hot water heater while I was at mom's and fixed it. That hot shower felt wonderful. I am so thankful for hot water and so thankful for a husband that can fix things.
An absolutely wonderful review came in from our airbnb guests this weekend. Jessica writes:
“This is the best place we have ever stayed! The apartment is sparkling clean and the decor is the best, with horses all around! The space is plentiful and very social. The farm is perfection! The host is extremely generous and helpful. The animals are the most friendly you’ll ever meet! I can’t believe the price, either! We had a full experience, not just a place to stay. This was the most perfect place we have ever visited!”
“We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend! You, your animals, your facility, and the apartment are ABOVE AND BEYOND our expectations, which were already high from seeing your listing before we came! We will DEFINITELY be back! Thank you SO MUCH and God bless you and your family! Happy Easter!!!”
And Because today is Easter HE IS:
