All day there were blizzard warnings for our area. We are still waiting for the snow to fall. It is 10:30pm, 20 degrees, the rain has stopped, the roads were icy but no snow or blowing snow to be seen.
Steven called to report the burrs are now out of 6 of the horses that were at the Middle Grove farm with 5 to go but he ran out of cowboy magic. Tomorrow morning, depending on the blizzard or the state of the roads, another bottle of the magic mane worker will be left in the apartment.
Autumn was brought into the red barn and placed in Kylie's stall at 3:15pm to try to dry her off. The prospective customer showed up at 4:30 with her trainer and another rider. The trainer wanted to lunge Autumn first to see her movement, then Rhoda got on and cantered her around the arena and jumped a couple of cross rails. Once Rhoda dismounted the other girl got on, rode her around walk and trot then finally the prospective buyer. She was pretty nervous but Autumn was so calm and didn't put a foot wrong and soon she calmed down and started enjoying the ride. The trainer liked Autumn and asked if they could come again but I don't know if the buyer felt she was too much horse or not.
Autumn was put away and it was run into the house and put the green beans to cooking for potluck tonight at Irv and Sharon's house. We made it just in time and enjoyed the evening of good food and better company.
