It was very icy this morning, Emma got out of the car with a big jump and ended flat on her face. We reached Diane's house when mom saw some pennies on the ground. Now Mike won't stoop to pick up a penny, only have so many bendovers but mom... different story.
She didn't realize the camera was catching her. Mom didn't even KEEP the pennies after using up one of her bendovers she gave them away.
Diane offered a pair of boots with good tread and immediately I sat down and put them on to finish the walk carrying the tennis shoes. The boots work well, they are even water resistant. After the walk it was time to open gates for Mike to put in 2 new round bales. Lily's paddock got one and the middle paddock got one. The net wrap was placed in the back of the car, Raven's shelter was checked, he has enough hay for maybe 2 more days, then off to the dumpster for the net wrap. It wasn't until home was reached that I realized I still had the boots on and WHERE are my shoes. They were not in the car, a call was placed to the Honeggers, Mike saw where they were left, on a post in front of their driveway. They will be waiting there until the walk tomorrow, IF I can remember to pick them up and place them in the car. They say the memory is the first thing to go.
Bill Waibel's visitation is today we were working on a way to go together. Sure feel bad for his family to go through this right before Christmas.
