All was well this morning at the farm, Sanna & Raven are best buds, huddling up together in the shelter, and the mares are tolerating the boys. Izadora is starting to show signs of coming in season, but not strong enough to stand. Each time Raven came near she politely pinned her ears and threatened to kick. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day.
On the way home the bank had to be the first stop to deposit the checks. When the window was rolled down it made a cracking sound, then when it was time to roll it up it would only come up part way. After working with it I was finally able to get it up enough to drive. This would happen on the coldest day of the year, it is only 22 degrees out, the car heater was on full blast but the cold air coming into the openings made for a miserable drive.
Down to Meisters to pay the first of the month bills, then off to 2 different banks and the post office for Mark. There was no way I was going to take a chance on lowering the window, at each bank it was out of the car and walk inside.
Steven was heading to Holly Hinton's place to check out an Aussie Rescue.
The dog is only about a year and a half old, is intact and named Bounce for obvious reasons. He bounces high when excited.
Holly has 2 Raven babies we have never seen so Steven was given Diane's camera as mine was at home but when he got there the battery was bad. They used Holly's camera, took a few pictures, then Steven brought the camera here to download.
The first picture is of the weanling out of her paint mare. The picture wasn't the best but it's COLD outside.
The next picture is of 4 year old Calypso out of Holly's TB mare named Fire and by Raven. When I called Holly to ask if she was for sale, she said only for $25,000.00! I guess in other words, "she LIKES her!"
Holly picked up her camera this afternoon then I headed off to Aldi's. It is amazing how much food we went through over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and today another $104.00 was spent. We will have chicken stir fry for dinner.
