Update on Jenis

No walk today, Ruth had to be at work early. Joan spent the night last night with mom and was on all day today and tonight. Ruth is taking work off Tuesday so mom and Aunt Jinnie can go to Berean to help. Instead of walking I took the golf cart over to the barn and brought back all the crock pots and food stuff left from the dinner last night.  The towels for the Wildcat were folded and taken to that 5th wheel and the other 5th wheel got the bed made and the bathroom cleaned. I still need to sweep and scrub the floors on that one. A wonderful email came in from the lady that bought Jenis. She wrote: Jenis is doing amazing.  Living her best best life.  Hard to believe she is 20 - she is so incredibly loved! She is my heart horse, my gift from God.

We love updates like that, Jenis is Valiant's dam and was such a wonderful part of our performance horses. We miss her but she really does have the best of the best in her home with Katherine.
Today while doing my laundry and making the dessert for Berean tomorrow I had AC Central on and randomly picked a sermon from the Washington church. It happened to be Randy Mogler and it was such an amazing message I had to stop working and watch it. IF you would like to watch too click HERE. The dessert was finished and cooling just before 2:00 pm when a text came in from our airbnb guests that they would like to park their truck at Ruth's tonight and would I pick them up. They were not yet there when I arrived. Ruth has something very interesting growing in her yard. She has 3 of these circles made of mushrooms.

As I was walking over to the barn to get the car the FedEx truck was coming down the drive. The driver stopped and asked if I wanted a ride to the reuion up at mom's. Dan Baer and his daughter Elisabeth had come to visit mom and Aunt Jinnie. It turned out that 38 years ago Dan was the doctor that delivered the FedEx driver and the driver knew of him and knew him from church. They both go to the Northfield community church in Tremont (what used to be called the AC TWO). After picking up the airbnb guests and dropping them off at the apartment I took the golf cart over to mom's to take Dan, Elisabeth and Aunt Jinnie on a tour of the place. We drove first to Spark's to show them the repair work on Spark's barn
Next we drove to Joan's and went down by the beach then over to Rachel's to see some of the new retaining wall.
We stopped at the cabin to see Diane's decorating job then on to see the horses and finally stopped at the new barn. They were given a tour and even went up to the game room where Aunt Jinny and Dan had a basketball contest.
Aunt Jinnie won but it really wasn't fair as she had been practicing. Next Aunt Jinnie tried out the batting cage. She is 94 years old and Dan just turned 90. Aunt Jinnie was surprised that the bats were all aluminum and not wood. She really wanted a wood bat.
A swing and a hit.
Joan invited us for dinner tonight. That was delicious, a pork roast served with gravy, corn on the cob and salad with other vegetables and watermelon.
Below is Faith's plate as hers was perfectly organized.
After supper the Monday night girls volley ball players arrived. The teams were well matched. Below are a few pictures.

Taunya and I went to the barn to check out the tile work done today by Anna. Phil had the girls vanity all hooked up. We now have water, no toilet yet but we have water.
Jack, Jace and Abe were using the batting cage up in the game room. I took some video of them having fun and added it to the rest of the day's video posted below.
