A Batting Cage

Mark and I left for the Bloomington-Normal Sam's club at 7:30 am to pick up two pallets of chairs. Each pallet holds 34 lifetime folding chairs. When we arrived we were greeted by a big flock of geese. It took maybe a minute for the fork lift operator to arrive with the first pallet and the second pallet must have been right inside. Both were loaded in less than 5 minutes.

Nolan was here helping Phil and Anna so once the trailer was backed into the barn I watched the girls while he worked. They were thrilled with the new toys.

Sarah arrived and took Zion and River to a birthday party so Eden came with me to check out the farmers market in Hanna City. The girls were very busy selling sweet corn, lemonade and freezer pops.

They sold out by noon. Joan picked up lunch for them at the Warehouse just as I was placing our order for the barn workers at the Warehouse. They took theirs to the barn to eat and by the time ours was ready to be picked up they were finishing up their meal. We ate ours at the barn too. After lunch Nolan helped move the two skids of chairs out of the horse trailer then left for home. I left for Aldi to pick up the spaghetti sauce and noodles, lettuce, French bread and ice cream for our meal tomorrow. On the way home a booking came in for the Wildcat 5th wheel so I took the golf cart over to get that ready by opening the awning, turning on the air conditioner, the water and the lights. By the time I got back to the house a booking came in for the other 5th wheel. That still needed the floor swept and scrubbed and also the air and water turned on.  I remembered to turn on the electric hot water heater then went out to shut the propane cubby and realized the lights were out and the ac not running.  The breaker was popped. I turned that back on and this time only turned on the air conditioner and decided once it cooled down I would turn the water heater on. By this time it was almost 6:00 pm. Phil and Anna had been working on the two bathrooms today.  Of course I needed to take a couple pictures of what they were working on. Below is the tile work on the boys bathroom. Notice how the gray tile matches the gray on the vanity. The wall tile looks like the marble we had in the upstairs bathroom in Pleasant home.
The girls bathroom shower is white with the same marble looking tile on the walls. Tile work is detailed and painstaking slow to get everything perfect.
They finally quit work and put up a batting cage upstairs in the game room. Mark and I had to go watch the girls taking turns at bat. I wish I had taken pictures of the batting cage but instead took videos of the girls hitting the ball. The video below starts with their bike riding then switches to the batting cage.
Since it was WAY past supper time we took the girls to the Bartonville diner while Phil and Anna went out to eat by themselves. I think they needed some quiet time. The restaurant was not busy as it was almost 7:00 pm. We got right in. Below we are waiting for our food.
The soup came first. Taegan and Braelyn pronounced it good.
Our food arrived before we finished the soup. Those are kids meals pictured below.

Mark got a taco salad and that was also huge. We ate almost every bite. When we got home I took the golf cart up to turn on the hot water heater on the 5th wheel. Those guests and already arrived and were eating supper out on the picnic table. I told them how to turn the water heater on and left them in peace.  The guests staying in the apartment tonight sent a text they were coming in after dark so I stopped there and turned on the outside light. The guests coming in for the Wildcat were also arriving after dark. Mark put out some solar lights around the 5th wheel and at the entrance of the barn drive to help them find that. I still needed to brown 6 pounds of hamburger tonight, that is now done and cooling, it will be put in the fridge before we head to bed.
