The Siblings Are HERE.

It was my turn to stay with mom today instead of going on a walk the potatoes for the supper tonight were scrubbed and wrapped in aluminum foil for baking.

Next the barn was cleaned to make ready for the company coming today. There were flies that had come in and I got the great idea to hang fly papers for a couple hours to see if that would help. There was an entire box of fly papers in the stall barn so I grabbed three. There is no way to hang them in the dining area as the ceilings are 12 foot tall so I put down a napkin, stretched them out and laid them on two of the tables right in the middle like a fancy centerpiece.
By then it was close to 8:00 am so I left for mom's house. Three hours later, after our lunch I ran back over to see how many flies were stuck on it and there was not a single one. Maybe they have to be hung to attract flies. There were flies on the table near the fly paper but evidently these flies are picky about what they eat, either that or very smart. I used the fly swatter and went on a killing streak. Uncle Johnny and Aunt MaryLou arrived just as Joan got back from picking corn at the Goose Ranch. She and Faith are going to sell it tomorrow at the farmers market in Hanna City. They also picked enough for our meal tonight. Faith went right out to mow.
I left to go move bales in for the 2 stallions. Mark was home so helped with that.
As soon as we finished Mark started moving the grill over to the barn. Joan stopped to help as I brought Mackenson over. Then it was time to start the potatoes, make the salad and take the plates and knives over to the barn. Anna was here with the girls so they helped set the tables. At 5:00 the people from mom's house all walked over. Of course we needed to have some basketball games before dinner.

Uncle Johnny and Aunt MaryLou played first then Aunt Sandra and Sarah.

Once the fun was over we had to get a picture before heading downstairs. Uncle Johnny and Aunt MaryLou stop in on their way to Arizona but we hadn't seen Aunt Sandra for years.  She flew up from Florida to Michigan visit her daughter Sarah then Sarah was willing to drive her down to us here in Illinois.

As the food was almost ready we made our way downstairs and of course had to take a few more pictures.

Mark grilled the steaks perfectly, the fresh picked corn on the cob was amazing, the baked potatoes were good, the salad had lots of extras, the watermelon was ripe and sweet. It was a delicious meal. For dessert we had cheesecake and blueberries.  Sarah and Aunt Sandra brought two huge containers of blueberries from Michigan so we will be eating those for breakfast too. Everyone helped with the cleanup.  Uncle Johnny brought a box of memories for the siblings to go through.
These 3 are staying at mom's house while Aunt Sandra and Sarah are staying in the barn. They walked over right after the picture above was taken. The 5th wheel booked again so Mark went up to work on the propane hose.
The sun was setting as he was working.
Mark thought he had it fixed but be both smelled propane when we turned on it on. We went back to the house to get the soap bubble spray and found where it was leaking. He will try again tomorrow. While he was working I was watching the birds hunt insects during the sunset.
Granddaughter the cat came out of the barn for attention while we were up at the 5th wheel. Just in case she was hungry I took more cat food up to the barn for her and realized the front door of the apartment needed the grass to be swept off before tonight's guest arrive.
