Karin's Home

It was really hot this morning on the walk, 100% humidity and already 80 degrees. We stopped in at mom's after the first round. Mom and Aunt Jinnie were getting ready to go to Bible study at the church. Joan took them after breakfast. I drove to Sam's club to look for towels for the new barn apartment but wasn't happy with the choice. The hotel brand towel was extra long and extra thick for a decent price. That sounds like a great choice but it would take so long for them to dry it really wasn't the best choice for us.  I ended up buying 6 gray washcloths as we have lost quite a few from the foaling apartment. I found some commercial towels that were big enough but not quite the quality. They will work for the boys and girls bathrooms. I got 8 bath towels, 24 wash cloths and 12 hand towels all white.

Sam's had some child's beach towels marked down for $4.08 each so I bought 12 of those.
I also picked up a package of 2 large sharp knives and 4 pairing knives, a cutting board and 2 frying pans. At 11:30 am I left for church with the wheel chair van to pick up mom and Aunt Jinnie. When we got home at 1:00 pm we made BLT's for lunch. Those were so delicious with  big vine ripened juicy Better Boy tomatoes growing in mom's garden.  Karin made it home today from Florida just after 2:00 pm. She has had a 2 week vacation and we missed her.  She gave Diane and I the run down on our trip coming up in exactly a week.  It was just too hot to work outside today with a heat index of over 110. We left for church early as Mark needed to measure the rooms in the church basement.
Joan had already arrived and was decorating her Sunday school room as Sunday school starts on this coming Sunday.

Tim Funk had the message tonight reading first Psalm 17 and then Mark 5 for the second reading. The video isn't up yet but when it is I'll post it here. We went to Culvers for dessert. A good group came.  David spoke at Tremont tonight on the Joy of Jesus of Nazareth. Click HERE if you would like to watch that.
