Evan's waterer was frozen this morning. Mike and Diane left for Gulf Shores around 4:30 am so Mike wasn't around to fix the problem. I carried a bucket of water over to him, he didn't drink much so must not have been without water too long. The hair dryer was put in to defrost it then I needed to head over to mom's for the day.
Mom had a good night and was up eating breakfast when I arrived. Today we worked on kicking her legs up. We started at the couch.
We moved over to the mirror so she could see herself how high she was getting.
After working with that she played a game with Molly. She was ready to nap at 2:00 pm, just as Karin came in. Karin brought a gift for mom from Beth Meister so that was added to the video. Since Karin was home I left to take care of Joan's birds. Patty and the two parakeets. Those parakeets were noisy chattering away until I waked in front to take a video. Then they stayed quiet and still.
They were both given fresh water and more bird seed.
Once the birds were cared for I went back to Evan's waterer. All ice was melted and his water was warm. The hair dryer was put on low before heading to Sam's club to pick up prime rib. We were going to grill steak for Christmas dinner except it is supposed to be so cold that Mark doesn't think he can grill properly. Plan B is prime rib. Sam's was packed with everyone doing last minute shopping before the storm hits. I got home just before 4:00 pm, Mike had another water heater at his house but neither Mark or I could get the old heater off. We gave up, moved a round bale into Raven's old paddock and moved Evan into that paddock. Winter isn't for sissies. We needed to leave by 5:45 pm for church tonight so my car could be dropped off at Zane's to get the headlights replaced. Then to Berean to pick up the studies to take to church, the Bibles and mail to drop off tomorrow at the post office. Yesterday there was just not enough time to pick them up. Mark got a no heat call on the way to church so just dropped me off, drove to the no heat call, fixed the furnace and was back to church before it was over. Mike Kaisner had the message.
