The electricity came back on by midnight last night but it really was uncomfortable those5 hours without it. Brrr it was cold today, the actual temperature was 32 degrees for most of the day but the wind was fierce. Joan didn't walk, Bill and Bethany had arrived with their 4 children. Right after the walk I drove to the Aldi in Pekin, just spent 20 minutes getting groceries for 3 of the coming up meals but by the time the cart was taken back to where the carts belong my fingers were freezing. I should have worn gloves. Thankfully the car was still warmed up from the drive over to Pekin. Once home the veggies, chicken and kielbasa was cut up for the meal tonight and put in baggies. All of that was taken over to mom's at 1:00 pm to relieve Rachel. Mom was pretty tired this afternoon. Karin arrived later this afternoon and was sewing and had her material on the chair when Molly, who had been sleeping on the chair woke up. She looked like she was trying to fit into the manger scene.

Best Ever
Supper was started at 4:25 pm with stir frying the chicken first then moving on to the vegetables.
The noodles were made at home but fried up separate. We started with a bed of rice, then added the noodles and finally the stir fry dish. That was served with an egg roll and sweet and sour sauce.
Molly was very interested in the meal.
I had a lady ask me about Killian and found these pictures taken in 2014 of Killian and Indy laughing at Dan's dog Diesel.
Diesel grabbed a bite of hay.
Killian and Indy were fascinated with this dog. Diesel spit the hay out, saw the horses and stuck his bum up in the air.
Below it LOOKS like Killian is laughing at that silly dog.
Killian was supposed to be our star stallion. He had the very best pedigree and was not related at all to any of our mares, except when we had him tested at 3 years of age he did not have a good sperm count and what was there wasn't very active. He went to a home where they wanted a gelding. That taught me that even with the best of the best there is no guarantee of a good breeding stallion. The other item that came up as a memory is this picture of Israel with Darcy in 2014. I still miss that dog. She was Rhoda's first English Mastiff and really was the best dog ever.
Mom wanted a hot tub tonight so once the dishes were done, the kitchen cleaned up and mom enjoying the hot bubbly water I left for home. Tomorrow morning is the Meister Christmas. It is my turn with Nancy and I was going to pick her up in the morning but Diane asked to trade as she will be in Gulf Shores on her turn. Mark has the fire going and the house is nice and warm this evening.
