Jewel's Colt

After our walk this morning bales needed to be moved into the middle paddock. Hadassah and her filly along with Jewel and her colt were up in the paddock finishing up the hay, the other 3 mares were still in the field so it was a good time to move in bales. I pulled Jewel out to take her to the field, the colt followed for a bit then decided to run back to the paddock. He is such buddies with Hadassah's filly he wanted her to come too. Below is a short video of him running back.

The bales were moved in then the horses put back in. They went right for the hay.
He followed when I took Hadassah and her filly. Below they are both in the shelter eating hay, Hadassah's filly has the lighter tail.
She turned to see what I was doing with the camera.
The picture below is of Jewel's colt deciding if he wants to really follow us into the field or not.
This colt is black under that foal coat, he is 75% Friesian 25% Thoroughbred and has the look AND the mega hair of a 100% Friesian. He was born June 1st and already is sporting a good amount of feather.  Who ever ends up with him will be very happy. He has big movement.
Karin took Oksana swimming today, Berlica and Rochelle got to swim with her. They were using Oksana as a diving board jumping off of her into the water.  No pictures of that I didn't KNOW they were going swimming. They also worked with the stallions today. Rosaleigh's colt is now 3 months old and big. Rosaleigh is losing weight nursing him so she and her colt were moved to the cabin field to live with Dancer (Jewel's 2020 filly by Evan) for a week for an easier way to grain her. Dancer also gets grain so this is a good fit. This afternoon the mower group came. Mackenson on the push mower, Faith on the Huskvarna and Joan on her Dixon. Mark was mowing the field the new barn is going up in with the big Kubota.  Today front of the barn was sided.
It will soon be ready for concrete. I have someone wanting to come early tomorrow for the apartment so that was given a quick once over then the camper was cleaned and made ready for the next guests, which is David's family for labor day. It was hot so the air was turned on while I was cleaning it. This evening I remembered that I had left the air on so ran up to shut that off and put down some Terro in both the motor home and the camper. We saw some small red ants in both campers last weekend. I didn't see any cleaning but still put out the ant poison just in case.
