It was very hot and humid this morning and by the time the walk was over we girls were all glowing. Mom and Joan took Nancy to the orthopedic office to get her knee checked out. She had swelling in the knee and was complaining about the pain. After the doctor checked it out we were glad to hear she didn't need to do anything but rest. I stopped at Casey's for donuts for the Berean volunteers then to the Berean office were a group was already waiting for the mail to arrive. We didn't have much mail to process there and finished before 11:00 am. If you would like to read about our morning there click HERE. I dropped off the Bibles at the Bartonville post office before heading home. Today Evan needed a new bale and since the mares are in the middle paddock he was given Ribbon's old paddock which opens up to the back field. He was really happy to be out grazing. The bale was moved in but Evan was left out. I didn't have the heart to take him off the field. It was much to hot to do much running, although he would run into the paddock from the field, look over at the girls and neigh.

Insurance Claim
Valiant was fed after the bale was moved. Hopefully our breeding season is over and the last 3 mares are pregnant. I'll find that out a week from today when we have Dr. Hoerr out for ultrasounds. If they are we can move some of these mares and foals out to Middle Grove and bring in the riding horses. We had good news on the motorhome. The insurance will either cover the repair or if the repair is more than the value will write us a check. Joan was driving it on her big trip out West when the siding flew off. Below is a picture of the motorhome the day we bought it Oct 15th, 2020
On May 26th, 2021 the first day of the big trip as they were driving through South Dakota the siding above the cab flew off. Joan had to stop at the next town to buy tape to stop any water from getting inside.
We completely forgot we have full coverage on the motorhome so didn't think to turn it in for repair. It was on the walk when Ruth was telling us about her motorhome, how they had it fully insured but forgot to turn it in and Fedi worked for days fixing it, that the light bulb went off in our minds. Why we have ours fully insured! I emailed our insurance agent, she turned in the claim, we got a call from the adjuster and he told us to take it in for an estimate. Joan called the camper repair place and they are too busy to get to that until September 20th. The adjuster was called and told that date and he was fine with that so we are good to go. I think this is the first time I have ever filed a claim. It makes me feel better about the money paid for insurance each year.
