Five Star Evening

Early this morning Madiera and her colt were brought inside for another leading lesson. I was so pleased with this colt, he stood quietly for haltering and would take 2 or 3 steps forward when asked. I took the pictures below to send to his owner.

The next job was to grain the cabin horses.  Rosaleigh's colt now gets his own feed pan.
He soon decided it was more fun to eat out of his mom's feed pan.
After the walk I was working inside and had AC Central on and the sermon below, even though it was given May 1st, 2016, was so relevant for today. That meant it needed to be downloaded and posted here.

Karin and Rochelle worked with both stallions today. First was Valiant. Rochelle tacked him up all by herself. Of course she needed the steps to get the saddle and bridle on.
Below Rochelle is asking him to canter.

Below is a short video of her cantering him.
Studley made himself comfortable while watching.
I got an airbnb request and needed to go inside to answer so missed them working with Evan but the barn apartment rented for another night.  Mom and I left at 1:30 pm to go first to Joann Fabric. We weren't quite sure the fastest way to go so I asked mom to use the GPS on her phone. Mom pulled out her phone and said, "OK Google take us, I mean navigate to Joann Fabric"  Well Google couldn't quite figure that out. I told her, "start again and this time say navigate to Joann Fabric Peoria, IL." Google must have already been on, mom looked down and said, "she is already taking us there."  Mom said thank you, put the phone down then kind of whispered. I don't like that it is listening to us. We did not find what was needed at Joann Fabric so drove to mom's next appointment which was at the Cardiology building on Knoxville for her EKG. It was decided that she would need to wear a monitor for the next 3 days so we had to wait for that to be put on her chest.
We left there at 4:00 pm and drove to the car body shop to pick up her nicely repaired car. Her fender was the only thing needing repair and the cost to repair that one little part was over $1000.00. I made it home with 10 minutes to spare before we needed to leave for Ray and Shirley's house for dinner tonight. Shirley put on a fantastic absolutely delicious meal, Ray helped by grilling the tender perfectly seasoned steaks. Dixie and Earl were also there.
Shirley also served twice baked potatoes, salad, vegetables and for dessert a refreshing lime sherbet with lemon topping.
We thought the meal was amazing but the fellowship was even better. It was a wonderful five star evening!
