Ugh
Talk about busy today at Meisters, Eva Jean and I were not going to get done in time when in walked Rhonda Meister and Gale Hodel. They were put right to work and I have to say, it was great, they work just as fast as we do. By the time lunch rolled around we had all the studies processed, separated, and almost 100 Bibles labeled, stamped and boxed for the post office. Lunch was at Denny's then a quick trip to Kroger for hot dogs. These hot dogs were not for the coming 4th of July holiday, nope they were to hide pills. Darcy's antibiotic pills are pushed in a piece of hotdog. This has been working until the 10:00pm dose. Darcy has become wise to that and has learned to spit out the pill hotdog and all. As soon as I arrived home, Eliza and her filly fed, watered, and the stall cleaned and it was time to head out with the truck and trailer. The trip to pick up the paint mare went fine, no problems once the gas tank was filled and all the tire pressure checked. This is a really nice paint mare, 4 years old, 60 days of training as a 3 year old, another 90 this year and it showed. She has good ground manners loading well and once home backing out quietly. She was introduced to Raven then put in the breeding shed paddock. Tomorrow (actually later today) pictures will be taken of her. Her name is Lola.
Jenis was checked before heading to bed, she is the next mare due. All the horses were hot and uncomfortable. They needed to be sprayed off but the hose on the hydrant must have been run over by the mower and I was too hot and too tired to pull out another one.
Mom discovered ebay last night. She bid on a swim suit and when she WON she was so excited she called to ask, "what can I buy next?" Karin had the Reinhards over for dinner then was taking them to Middle Grove, she planned on putting the three girls on the 3 ponies and getting pictures for the website of the ponies under saddle. Haven't heard how that went but hope the weather didn't put them off. It was in the high 90s again and even now at 1:45am it is 80 degrees. Today and tomorrow is predicted to hit 100 degrees Fahrenheit with high 90s the rest of the week.
