2nd Cutting
Heidi came over again last night and this time there were no fireworks going off, I think she just gets lonely:
Both our dogs were laying down in the kitchen area and she plops herself down next to them getting comfortable for the evening.
Ryan Smith sent a text to tell us the hay would be cut today. Talk about perfect timing, yesterday Mark wanted me to contact Ryan to see if he would schedule for this week. After the walk we were busy talking, Braelyn crawled off the golf cart to play in the gravel.
She is fascinating to watch, her next step was to try to fit the gravel on the wheels.
When asked what she was doing she stands up and clumps over to show us.
When back to the apartment Hoerr vet clinic was called for an ultrasound appointment for Cor Arianna and that is now scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. We had just finished breakfast where Braelyn dumped almost an entire bowl of cheerios onto her lap when we heard the big tractor outside. Of course we had to go watch the farmer cut the fields. Braelyn is fascinated by tractors.
It's so cool the way the fresh cut hay comes rolling out the back like water.
The golf cart was taken back to the barn where Braelyn helped water the horses.
Peeking in the stall windows we see Eliza and her filly getting ready for a nap.
Once the chores were done Braelyn also settled down for a short nap. While she was asleep a phone call came in from a lady that owns Lola's half sister. Arrangements were made to pick up that mare on Thursday. A couple of emails came in that just have to be shared, the first one is from the lady that took Knight, the Reinhard's pony.
Sandie writes: Just wanted to let you know that my friends lesson kids are showing Knight and cleaning up ! This past weekend judge said over the microphone that Knight was the kind of pony every kid should have! He took all firsts and seconds! He is very loved!
The second one came in from Sally Herman, one of the lucky people Karin took out trail riding on Thursday. Sally writes:I love Middle Grove!!!!! I had a great time....its soooooo beautiful!!!!!! I am jealous :-). loved riding sally.... I hope to come for sangria' s birth. that would be amazing!!!!! love the horse life "!!!
She was told when Sangria is due and Sally is serious about leaving her home in Arizona and traveling back to us when Sangria gets close. She has always wanted to see a mare give birth.
