Sally Riding Sally
Sally Herman's reaction to the Middle Grove trail ride:
Ok....in Arizona, I ride horses in the mountains and deserts, among cactus.......like the cowboys.
But in Peoria Illinois....before the cowboys rode to the dry land they had to learn to ride like this....... (thanks Karen Meister ...your one amazing woman ! thanks for the great ride!) I was in heaven....
BTW...my horse's name was Sally! they said she loves to go go go and never gets tired...I loved her!!!
Eva Jean will be a bit late in to work today. So much to do and so little time. Looks like I'll need to make another trip in on Wednesday, we have copies to make, a copier that is jammed and will need to be taken apart to find the jam, Bibles to process and Chaplains waiting from all over the United States. Heidi joined us again last night, before heading to bed she was made to go outside and told to go home. Within 5 minutes she was hurling herself on to our door. Mark let her in, she settled down until after midnight. We will be glad when mom gets home so Heidi will stay home.
Clair's filly is not doing well, sure have been doing a lot of praying for her. I'm not sure if her pain is coming from the procedures Dr. Hoerr did or more infection. She is such a sweet foal to have to go through so much and we still don't know if she is going to make it. Clair was teased yesterday, it has been 19 days since her last cover, she sonagrammed open at 15 days and should be in but she is saying very emphatically "NO!"
Cor Arianna will be sonagrammed today, she hasn't showed any signs of coming back in. We are crossing our fingers on that one. Lola was teased yesterday, hope she comes in soon, another paint mare is coming in for breeding on Thursday and it is hard on Raven at his (old)age to have too many mares in at the same time especially during this heat. Even though the extreme heat of triple digits finally broke, yesterdays high was 93 degrees. It actually felt cool and the air was left off. Are we crazy!
