Cool

We have a beautiful cool morning. Jenis and her filly had a good night. They were left in the stall but with the barn doors and windows open for sweet fresh air and they can be left open for the rest of today. We are having a one day cool spell according to weather.com with the high only to reach 87 degrees. Clair and Eliza have to be taken to Morton, IL for their scheduled ultrasounds. It would be wonderful if they are both pregnant, both were bred on their foal heat. Their appointment is 10:00am, hope someone is around to help load around 9:15am. This will be Eliza's filly's first trailer trip. We have started to call her Olivia, Livvy for short, but the papers are not yet sent in so if someone doesn't like that name and wants to buy her let us know pretty quickly. Friesian names must start with M, N, or O this year. Jenis' filly has a lot of spunk, we want to get to know her personality before she gets a name. Shots must be picked up from the clinic. A foal shot for Jenis' filly and 2 shots for the paint mares. They are maiden mares and if they have come in they don't know enough to show, if not the shots will bring them in. Once we are back from the vet appointment, the trailer will be fully loaded with horses going back out to Middle Grove. Mike moved 7 of the horses over to the new land a couple of days ago, Diane called last night to report they are doing well. They are walking down to the big lake to drink and haven't left the meadow. There is so much grass on that 200 acres. The first trip will be Indy, Ayanna, Killian and Mindy. The next trip will have Lily and Helen. Clair can go out if pregnant and perhaps Mytross if Rainbow Riders don't want to try her for their program.
