Cool
It happened! The cold front has come through during the night and dropped the temperature to a comfortable 74 degrees outside. The predicted high is 87 for today in Hanna City according to weather.com. It looks like we missed any chance of the much needed rain. The 2 mares with foals will still be brought in to get them out of the sun but the doors and windows of the barn can be left open and the air OFF!
Ruth and Fedi are now home from their Current River trip with Brian's family, the Schwinds. Brian and Rebekah (the honeymooners) will leave Gulf Shores for their new home in Roanoke. Joan, Tim, Sarah, Bethany, Hannah, Faith and mom will drive down to Gulf Shores right after church gets out in Athens, AL. It looks like everyone will have great driving weather.
Last night a few drops of colostrum was pulled from Jenis for the foal predictor kit but the calcium level has not risen enough to change to blue until the tube was full.
Yesterday a bunch of the family spent the extremly hot day at Beth & Greg's lake in the sky in Norris, IL. Karin posted the video below of the water fun. All three of my grandchildren are enjoying the water.
What a perfect place to play during 104 degrees of bright sunshine.
