Lonesome Legend
The pictures below are of our new mare Lonesome Legend aka Lola. She is a registered paint born May 10th, 2008. She is black and white and should throw spots when bred to Raven.
I had her in the outdoor arena for pictures and she didn't want to move, Mark finally came out to help. Next out was Eliza and her filly but while their picture was being taken I heard Heidi barking and knew I was late for the walk.
They were put away and the golf cart taken over as fast as that thing could run. This squirrel was teasing Heidi, holding still until she would come around the tree then taking off for higher limbs.
After the walk Clair and her filly were brought over to the stall barn. With the temperatures predicted to hit triple digits they need to be in the air conditioning. Karin called to report about the pony training yesterday. There was both good and bad. They never got Bonnie to canter, Mindy did well, and Lilypony got Sarah off 3 times. Now to qualify that Sarah didn't have a saddle and didn't realize how little training this pony has had. Saturday was the first time she was ever asked to carry anyone and then was just ponied. On the whole she did pretty well. Her canter was really nice. None of the ponies were spooky and all of them crossed the lake without incident.
The vaulters are out practicing right now and it is already over 90 degrees.
