Zalena Ready
On the walk today the camera was taken along to get pictures of mom's flowers. Her yard is a riot of color.
Such beauty here and to think we aint seen nothin yet!
Dan came to pick up cotton candy supplies for a carnival at his kids school.
Braelyn was here today, the morning was cool and the best spot to be if one wants to be outside on a cool morning is mom's deck. Braelyn played and played, when she got tired she climbed up on the porch swing and fell asleep. She was taken home on the golf cart which woke her up enough that when Diane's grand daughter Irelyn got here, they played together, sweetly sharing a sucker.
Once Irelyn left Braelyn was put down for a nap and slept until her mom picked her up. Dr. Hoerr arrived to ultrasound Zalena, she has a 49mm follicle on one ovary and a 45 follicle on the other. We collected Raven and Dr. Hoerr artificially inseminated her. He will come back on Friday to infuse her with some antibiotic. While Dr. Hoerr was here he drew blood for a new coggins on Earl Ringger's 2 year old now named Hadassah. When he comes back on Friday she will have her wolf teeth pulled so Karin can start training her.
Karin showed up while Dr. Hoerr was working with Zalena and lent a hand to help with the insemination then took out Ciera for some tarp training.
Ciera remembered everything she was taught last week making Karin very pleased. Ciera is growing up so quickly, she is only 3 years old, well over 16 hands and has the typical Friesian attitude of "what do you want me to do, I'll try!"
When Karin was finished with Ciera she put her away and pulled out Valiant. I wasn't able to watch her work him, dinner needed to be prepared. On Wednesdays we are always in a time crunch with needing to leave for church just after 6:00pm. Tonight Ruth brought her van over to mom's where Mark and I joined Ruth, Ryan, and mom. Willis Ehnle had the service, then Mark drove us through the McDonald drive through for hot fudge sundaes. Sweet ending to a sweet day.
