Prices

Karin asked me to look for a horse for Rainbow Riders in Monmouth, IL. (look them up on the web, they do wonderful things with horses and kids) After spending a few hours looking at ads, there are some things these sellers need to know. Don't advertise your horse for a dollar if that is not really the price, If you don't know what you want for the horse don't assume a buyer will offer thousands. If your horse isn't trained and you've owned it for 15 years you can't use the excuse never started, just not enough time. 15 years isn't enough? Why put up a picture of a filthy muddy horse? Is it because it can't be caught or won't stand for grooming? Don't advertise a beginner safe horse and then in the same ad state,"too much horse for us." Don't write the horse is sound if it can barely stand on 3 legs, then when a prospective buyer shows up after driving some distance use the excuse, "just started limping today, don't know what happened." Never never say, sure you can come try her out if the horse has bucked off the last 5 riders!
