Sunday Blessed Sunday
How wonderful today was, well other than hearing loose horses and finding Lilypony out antagonizing the mares in the middle paddock and Hadassah flirting with Raven trying to get him to climb the fence. Once they were put away though it was all good.
Our early morning John Bible study was such a blessing, not to brag or anything but ours must be the best. Then came Sunday morning service, today the graduates along with their parents were all invited to a breakfast then came up to church with the rest of the Bible class. Craig Stickling had the service. How I wish all could hear this. Mom took the cd home, maybe there is a way to publish it on the blog. I know I want to listen again. Lunch was fun I served at table 6 with Carol Christ and MaryJane Schneider. The speaker for the afternoon service was Willis Ehnle. Mom had some trouble hearing Craig but has none when Willis speaks. Both of the services were thought provoking, convicting and encouraging.
Once home Mark and I hauled the horse cart over to Fede's. He is going to fix the damage Valiant did when he spooked and ran off with Rhoda. He also lent us string. Mark bought 800 feet of string to mark out the fence line and we can't find it anywhere. How we can lose things in this little 900 square foot apartment is a mystery, although it could be out in either barn, the garage, or the farm house. We started stringing, Mark looked down and found our logging chain buried in the ground:
He thinks he lost it a couple of years ago but I'm sure he thought I lent it out to someone. Other than a bit rusty it is a very useful tool.
Mom invited us over for dinner, she served us delicious moist bbq ribs, fresh green beans, a huge lettuce salad from her garden and banana bread.
The usual volleyball players started arriving Phil and Anna came early to get a bit of fishing in before the games started. Rhoda came straight from her Indiana trip and had to stop in to see Braelyn first.
Let's try for a smile:
Braelyn loves playing on the playground, the swings are her favorite
Heidi and Studly play fight and look so vicious.
Studly is quite a bit younger than Heidi and she soon crashes:
The volley ball games weren't very intense tonight but still fun.
The sound of distant grumbling thunder warned of a coming storm. We were hoping it would come our way, the fields are so dry but it went east and missed us other than a few sprinkles.
Mark brought the skid steer over to jack up the golf cart to assist him in taking off the 2 back tires. Both of which were flat this morning. He thinks both tires are now fixed, tomorrow morning will tell.
The sunset was gorgeous!
At one point a bright light almost split the pink purple clouds making us think, could this be the day our Lord returns?
We finally did get a rain shower, just for a few minutes, maybe enough to give these dry thirsty lands a small drink.
