Wynne In
We had the Bible class from 3 churches visiting today, Forrest, Fairbury and Bradford. After the afternoon service the kids got up and sang for us. Dusty Funk led them, we were surprised at how he drew out their talent. There were well over 200 high schoolers in the group, Ken Hoerr had the afternoon message on Jesus when he was 12 years of age, keeping everyone's attention throughout the service. After church David, Stephanie, Rhoda, Phil, Anna and Braelyn showed up for the usual volleyball. Wynne was checked before heading over to the playground and she was showing big time. She stood very well and was covered by Raven. That was great timing on her owner's part.
Dinner was prepared then left out for them as we needed to be at the fellowship hall for hymn sing at 6:30 and the games were still going strong when it came time for us to leave.
Below is Willow enjoying an ice cream bar with her grandma Diane.
Stephanie found a few trucks for Braelyn to play with.
Braelyn and Darcy were taken back to the apartment on the golf cart. When we arrived there was Sue, the owner of Piper, a coming 3 year old Friesian filly out of Sanna. She wanted to ask if Sanna could stay here when she was ready to deliver but I wasn't listening close enough as I was worried about being late, and thought Sue wanted to stay here along WITH Piper during training. When Sue told me no just Piper, I was still under the wrong idea of training and told her, yes she could stay but in a paddock, not a stall. It was only after Sue left that I realized she wants her to stay here when the baby is due. YES, SUE, we would not let a maiden mare deliver in a paddock or pasture unless it was during the day and we were RIGHT THERE! I have the foaling camera set up in the barn and of course she would be put in a stall for that...duh.... Sue was the person that arranged for us to have internet, Mark said what ever Sue wants Sue gets!
Ruth offered her van for the 6 of us heading to hymn sing. We were so glad we went. Another evening of beautiful singing that lifts ones soul. After congregational singing Kindred Spirit sang for us with such beautiful close harmony, one wonders how heaven could be better.
