Ripper Sold

Mark and I went out early to work on the perimeter fence line. Each year the deer usually slam into the top wire and break it and sometimes they even break some of the other wires.  We hooked the golf cart up to the dump cart and backed it into Mark's garage.

We loaded the cart with Mark's tools then took off for the far west side.
Below is looking to the North end. We were hoping to get the top wire fixed today the full length of the field.
Below is looking to the South end. Mark was able to get the top and the rest of the wires all fixed except the bottom which we decided to remove so we can mow under the fence.
Below is looking toward Spark and Rhonda's house. The windmill is by the alligator swamp.
With all the rain and sunshine the fields are growing well and should be ready to cut again in August.
Our airbnb guests left around 8:30 am so I went right to work to flip the apartment. We have new guests coming in today. There were 6 people in the apartment last night plus a German Shepherd dog so I had a lot of bedding to wash. I'm very thankful that we have 2 sets of sheets for each bed and plenty of towels.  The cleaning was finished around 10:30 that is all but the laundry and that was taken down to the house and started. Diane and Mike agreed to meet me at Middle Grove to help load horses at 11:00 am which meant I needed to leave as soon as possible. Today we wanted to bring home Hadassah, her filly and Ripper.  Hadassah is more than likely sold, the deposit check is supposed to be in the mail and she has a vet appointment for her Coggins test and another ultrasound on Wednesday. Ripper was placed for sale on our website so he too needed a new coggins. Mike and Diane used the 4 wheelers to find the herd, Diane gave me a ride up to them on the 4 wheeler. Below is Cookie and Missy. They are so much enjoying their vacation at Middle Grove.
I walked up to Hadassah, haltered her and started leading her back with her filly following. Mike haltered Ripper and brought him back with the 4 wheeler.
Below is a video of Mike bringing Ripper down to the trailer.
They were loaded up and I left for home arriving here around noon. Ripper was put in the cabin field while Hadassah and her filly were put in the pond pasture with the other mares and foals. The trailer was cleaned out as Joan was borrowing it this afternoon to move tables.  The video was uploaded to youtube and placed on our Horsemeister Inc Facebook page and my phone started going off like crazy. I was driving to Sam's Club to pick up food for Sunday dinner so didn't check until I arrived and there were at least 10 texts from people wanting to buy Ripper. By the time I made it home he was sold and the deposit had arrived via paypal. We will add him to the schedule Wednesday for his new coggins. He will be going to South Carolina as soon as his Coggins is back. Our next airbnb guests arrived and asked if I could introduce them to the horses so as soon as the groceries were put away that was done. They loved all the horses but Evan the best.
