We were supposed to do one round of walk then meet mom at 7:30 am but she called and said she was ready to go at our usual time of 7:15 am so picked her up for the first round. She was tired this morning because she was out spreading mulch yesterday then woke up much too early. Karin came this morning to work with Jewel. Her colt had a wonderful time galloping around and me without the camera. Once the camera was in hand they were in the round pen and Karin was doing relaxation exercises with them so no big action shots. Jewel was relaxed enough to roll which shocked her colt.

Break From Rain
He slammed on the breaks and whirled.
He really is something special. He is black just his foal coat is faded.
Jewel will be given her short cycle shot on Monday and ready to breed to Evan Tuesday or Wednesday. While Karin was working with her the back paddock was opened and Indy and Rosaleigh along with their foals were put in there. The back gate was opened so they have access to the pond pasture.
Last Madiera and her colt were also put in. I took a few pictures of her colt for the owner and the website. This colt was also born black but also faded. He really looks more like a dark bay.
He really has a thick long mane and tail.
BUT that is Madiera's tail in the picture below.
They soon went across the pond to graze.
Karin finished with Jewel and put Jewel and her colt in with the other 3. The middle paddock was opened so there are 3 bales of hay available for the 4 mares and 4 foals.
Today was house cleaning day and AC Central was put on so I could listen while working. I'm very thankful for that service. This evening mom and Diane came to church with us. David had the message on Psalm 40 and Hebrews 10.
We had a break from the rain today. No rain at all but that is supposed to change tomorrow with strong storms moving in tomorrow and hanging around for Friday. Next week we are to get the real break of perhaps 5 or 6 days with no rain. I have to bring Hadassah and her filly in from Middle Grove by Wednesday the 21st for her vet appointment to get a new coggins and another sonagram before she is sold so hoping for some dry weather.
