After the excitement of Indy's new filly this morning I was pretty slow getting Mark's breakfast cooked. We still have those wonderful peaches mom picked up in Canton, and those were served with sausage links, eggs and a cheese danish. I headed up to change the sheets in the apartment for the next guests coming in and had just put them in the washer and was heading down to put the towels in the washer at the house when the couple looking at Mayberry and Dana arrived with a decision. They were buying Mayberry. They wrote the check about the time the rain started up. I took the check to the bank then went back up to the apartment to change the machines. Karin and mom arrived to see the new filly so of course I stopped working then when they finished mom had a low tire so I went with her to Mike and Diane's to fill the tire. They have a very handy air compressor. We couldn't find a gauge so just guessed which tire then back up to the barn. There was a gauge in the truck but when I was checking the tire pressure I dropped the cap of the stem and I just couldn't find it plus 2 of her other tires were missing caps. Mark was told, he went out and found 3 caps walked over in the rain and put them on the tires then came back and ordered a package of 30 of them from Amazon for just a few dollars. Finally I went back to the apartment to make the beds and finish cleaning. The rain just kept coming down all day, sometimes pounding down and sometimes a light rain. I am just so thankful for a dry stall barn. Indy's filly is doing great. Indy dropped the placenta this morning around 10:00 am. Proclaim and Serve was broadcasted on Facebook live so we were able to watch quite a bit of it. Next year we really have to go in person. I videoed using my phone the last song of the day. The person running the camera forgot to pan back until the last verse. The singing was much more beautiful than it sounds here.
This evening Diane hosted dinner. Joan brought a salad and the guests from Leo, Indiana, mom brought the peaches, I brought the rolls and cake and Mike picked up fried chicken from Gil's, Diane also served mashed potatoes and fruit. The dinner was delicious. After dinner Diane brought out the cake with candles and we sang happy birthday to Mark.
Diane has lots of toys and her last guest had 4 little boys. When they finished with the toys the loft didn't have any floor space left. Well just look at it now!
