Golf Cart Broke

We had a beautiful Sunday morning, Mark left early and took Mackenson, Faith, Eden and Berlica to the early singing while I picked up mom at 9:15 am. Church was just like BC  That is before covid. Lots of of cars in the parking lot when we arrived, lots of happy voices before heading into the sanctuary and good preaching.  We also had very good lunch. Rachel and David served and she always makes wonderful goodies which were served with Avanti sandwiches. After dropping mom off after church I drove straight  up to the apartment and found the apartment was spotless and a beautiful bouquet of flowers were on the table as a thank you gift from our guests. The laundry was started then I drove to the house to start cooking dinner. After everything was cooking or finished cooking I ran back up to the apartment to change the laundry machines then back to the house to set the table. Today we served chicken teriyaki, wild rice, salad, deviled eggs and Hawaiian rolls with brownies and ice cream for dessert. After dinner everyone headed over to the playground. Before going to the apartment I ran up to the apartment to make the bed and fold towels.  When I got to the playground the volley ball players were playing and some of Rhonda's grand sons were playing on the tramp. They asked if I could park the golf cart next to the tramp as in their words, "we always jump off of it."

Logan arrived with his fiancée Carli.
The rest of the group was on mom's beach with the kids swimming and the adults visiting.
Some of the kids headed up to the playground.

The volley ball players finally had a cheering section although there is more visiting than cheering usually.

The kids wanted to go see the dinosaur egg so 9 of us loaded up on the golf cart and off we went. We saw the alligator swamp, the dinosaur egg and were heading to the gypsy camp when the golf cart suddenly died. We could smell something burning and it turned out one of the terminals hooked to a battery melted. That meant we had to walk back.
It was a long walk but not too bad until we reached the gravel road. Most of us were barefoot and those rocks hurt. The two with shoes ran ahead and told Rhonda who came to rescue us with her 4 wheeler. Mark had been at the visitation for George Hoerr and had just made it back when we made it back to the playground so he took his car to check out the problem. He has a replacement part and will fix it tomorrow. Little 2 year old Eden was telling everyone that the golf cart broke. When the games were over Ben worked with Addyson, Kensley, Taegan and Jack teaching them how to bump and set.

The next generation will be playing before we know it. Time is flying by.
The lady that bought Zalena, Lola's 2020 filly and Soul's 2020 filly sent the picture below.
That is Zalena in the middle. Zalena was born in 1999 making her 22 years old this year. The filly left of her is HER 2021 filly by Evan and the filly to the right of her is Lola's 2020 filly. What a blessing Zalena was for us and now for her new owner.
