We had a good day at the Berean office, getting a pallet and a half of Bibles delivered when there was help to unload. To read about our day there click HERE.
When I got back to the farm I cleaned the 3 foaling stalls and filled each with 2 buckets of water and plenty of hay just in case Madeira needs to be stalled while I'm gone. The 2 horse trailer was hooked up to the new truck, the lights and the tires all checked of the trailer and the truck.
Foxy, Missy and Star were put out in the pond pasture for an hour.
Above is Star with her colt and below is Missy with her filly
Below is Foxy with her filly
Below they are heading across the pond at a leisurely walk.
The 5 mare and foal pairs in the middle paddock were all envious but they got to go out yesterday.
I took a bunch of pictures of Foxy's filly for the website now that she is 2 weeks old and posted them on Facebook. If you would like to see them click HERE. She is just beautiful with her bright bay and perfect conformation. This filly also moves extremely well. We will get a video of her when she is older..I also got new pictures of Star's colt for the website if you would like to see them click HERE. He has such a thick brush of a mane for 16 days old. He had the best time bucking and galloping around today.
Missy's filly is laid back, she is just 13 days old. I'm still not sure what color she will turn out. She kind of looks brown but Missy for sure is a blue roan and Evan is non fading pitch black.
She loved nibbling on the grass but those long legs of her's needed to spread out to reach the grass. Missy enjoyed rolling while her daughter watched.
Amy and I are leaving Bridlewood at 6:00 am for our trip to Texas. We are driving down to pick up her new mare and if all goes well will be home by Thursday night.
