No Electricity

Early this morning Lily, Rosalie and Hadassah along with their foals were let out into the pond pasture. It was sprinkling but they didn't care. Those foals had a ball running around while their mama's grazed. In the picture below Rosalie's filly is in the lead while Lily's colt and Hadassah's filly are neck and neck.

Above Lily's colt is facing the camera while Hadassah's filly is heading the other way. Below is Claire, Rosalie's filly taking off to catch up with them.

Above is Lily's colt in front of Hadassah's filly and below Lily's colt and Rosalie's filly are grooming each other. Rosalie's filly is the older of the two and has a little more fading but underneath that foal coat she is pitch black.
I had arranged with Faith to watch the girls while we walked but when I started over to her house on the golf cart the rain started up and just didn't quit.  Faith ended up staying and helping out anyway. Yesterday morning I thought Lola's colt seemed a little lethargic. I thought it was probably the heat but wanted to check him out early this morning and sure enough he had a fever of 103.5. Dr. Hoerr was sent a text and he responded he would head my way around 9:30 am.  Of course the girls and Faith came out to help make sure the barn was swept up and tidy. We took the golf cart up to the barn.

Below Lola is checking him out while her colt gets examined.
Braelyn and Taegan were glad to hold his lead rope.
Kensley was a little afraid of holding the leadrope but Faith and Taegan were glad to help her.
Lola is such a sweet mare, below Braelyn is comforting her about her sick baby.
Taegan joined her and gave her lots of attention.
Kensley was feeling much more brave watching Braelyn and Taegan.
All the girls lined up to pet Lola's colt.

Dr. Hoerr gave him some Banime to help lower his fever then 2 shots of antiboitics, one of Gentamicin and one of Exceed. He left me a bottle of Gentamicin and another dose of Exceed. For the next 3 days he will get 5 ccs of Gentamicin and on the 3rd day will also get the shot of Exceed. As soon as Dr. Hoerr left so did we. We were meeting Joan at church to set the tables for lunch.
Below Faith is filling the tea bags.
Mackenson was great at putting all the cups on the tables. He was careful and put each one perfectly.
Joan gave Berlica and Braelyn the job of making sure each spoon holder had 5 spoons.
Taegan and Kensley were given the job of filling the mayonnaise and mustard holders with Mayo.
Berlica made sure each holder had the correct amount of mustard.
Below Joan and Faith are making sure the extra piles of napkins are put in the correct place.
Everyone worked so well we finished within the hour.  We took all these good helpers to McDonalds driving first to the one up on 150 only to find that had the play station closed for a remodel. Joan knew of one up on Pioneer Parkway and University so that's where we ended up for lunch. Braelyn got the birthday seat even though it wasn't her birthday.
Berlica got a cheeseburger and fries.
 Kensley got a happy meal.
Everyone enjoyed their meals and playing in the play area. Joan and her kids left to go help Kristin pack for their big move.  On the way home there was a car on fire on the interstate.  It was quite a sight to see. Anna met me at our place to pick up the kids. We had no electricity and neither did she. Sarah found out on the Hanna  City Happenings that a telephone pole was on fire near Casey's. We are assuming that is why we have no electricity.  As soon as I changed, Foxy was taken out, teased and covered by Valiant. Rhoda and Sarah were here with Rizzy's 11 day old Cavapoo puppies so we took pictures of them to update the website. These puppies are all plump and cuddly.  Below are Rizzy's  4 male Cavapoo puppies.

Below are Rizzy's two female Cavapoo pupies.

If you would like to see the rest of these pictures click HERE. These are for sale for only $1300.00 each. These puppies make great family dogs, they love to be with people AND look adorable even when they are full grown. Below are a couple pictures of puppies from Rizzy's last Cavapoo litter.

Pretty adorable if you ask me!
Since Rhoda was here to help we took Soul and her colt out for a few pictures to update the website. He is 5 weeks old and we both were impressed with his movement.

Before Rhoda left for the day I asked her to help bring over Darla and Envy from the cabin field. Not only did she do that she helped with the practicing of loading and unloading then also helped clean them both up. Both fillies got a good grooming and we couldn't believe how much hair we got off of them, both are shedding big time. They were stalled for the night. Sarah and Nolan are going to deliver them to their owner in Indiana tomorrow morning.  I went up to the barn around 8:00 this evening to feed, water and clean stalls \forgetting we still have no electricity. I took the golf cart right back down to the house to get flashlights. It is pitch dark in the barn. Mark mowed all evening until it got too dark to see. It is now 9:30 and there is still no electricity so we will be heading to bed soon.
