Mother's Day 2018

The day started early so that I could get the chores done before heading to Morton to pick up Nancy for Mother's Day. We had such a blessed day. Tim Funk had the morning message starting with the creation of the first mother then all the way through. At the end of this service he had Craig Stickling announce the engagement of his daughter Whitney to Philip Huette from Morton. We also had another announcement. Marie's daughter and Emily's sister Laura was announced to Miguel from Mexico. The young group put on the lunch today and served all the women first. Craig Stickling had the afternoon service. At the end of this service we sang 80 in the Hymns of Zion and the church rang with a true worship of our Lord.
As soon as we got home Karin called to say Lily was showing. I met her up at the barn and got her covered by Valiant then brought Ayanna up and got her covered by Evan. Sure hope both mares settle. Back to the house 10 pounds of potatoes were peeled and set to boil and the green beans started. I had just started slicing the onions when the first trail ride started. Karin took out a group of5 riders, four of the mares had foals by their sides.

After supper we ended up at the playground and were joined by all of Spark and Rhonda's family along with a bunch more. The usual volley ball players came and entertained us too.

We had a wonderful day!
