Snowy Morning

We awoke to a beautiful fluffy snow. The car had not been put in the garage and when we drove over to Joan's to pick up Faith, Mackenson and  Berlica for church I got out of the car and took the picture below.

It is not the sun, it is the headlight on the 2007 Prius. I was surprised the snow didn't blow off the car on the way over.  As the thermometer was sitting right at 32 degrees the snow didn't last long. By the time we got out of church most of it was gone. We still needed the windshield wipers though as the snow had turned to a drizzle. Ruth took mom to church in the wheelchair van so Ruth and I switched keys first thing.  They could only stay until noon today so Mark and I took mom, Faith, Mackenson and Berlica home in the wheelchair van. Karin was already home so once mom was in the house Karin took over, I parked the van then went home to finish tonight's supper. We were missing a few tonight so Addyson and Braelyn got to sit at the adult table.
In the picture above we have already finished dinner and the girls joined the others to help with crafts.
At 5:30 pm adults including Addyson and Braelyn left to play volleyball at the Hanna City gym while the grandchildren here worked on crafts.

Which just happens to be Zion's favorite thing to do. She LOVES working with glue, especially glitter glue and glow in the dark glue. Iris likes the glue too. Today we made puppets out of bags. We played some games then when the glue was almost dry they took the bags into the dark bedroom to admire the glow in the dark. Below they are gathering them up to take them into the dark.
Zeke was getting hungry so while I was making his bottle he was content to sit on grandpa's lap.

The kids practiced fun gymnastics and put on a show for us.

The volleyball players came back and said the games were great. Addyson and Braelyn both got to play too.  They have now all gone home and the house is again quiet. It really was a blessed day.
