Joan and her family left early this morning for a ski trip with the Co-Op so just Ruth and I walked. We are having trouble with the brakes on the wheel chair van and because of that I didn't want to take it to the Berean office today so asked Ruth if she thought I would be able to use my car for mom. After checking it out she thought it could work. The wheelchair van has an appointment at Zanes for Monday, the soonest we could get it in. Karin helped with mom getting into the front seat and we were off arriving at that office at 8:50 am. There were already volunteers hard at work. If you would like to read about our morning there click HERE. We had a lot of laughter there today. What a blessing it is to volunteer with those that want to serve. We had a good trunk full of stuff for the post office by the time we left there.

Lots of Laughter
I didn't stop at the post office on the way back though, those two boxes needed to be taped up before going so instead went straight to mom's house. We had a lunch then mom stretched out on her recliner while we checked on Jackie and Shadow. They are a pair of Bald Eagles that are nesting in Big Bear Valley, California. Last year we found the friends of Big Bear Valley Eagle Cam and watched Jackie lay two eggs but only one hatched which someone named Spirit. Below is a picture taken from the webcam last year. Well this pair is at it again and Jackie has again laid two eggs. Jackie has trouble sharing nest duty with Shadow. He tries all different ways to get her off the eggs so he can take a turn.
They are fascinating to watch.
Karin took Molly and Studley to the groomer today and picked them up on her way home. Both dogs look and smell MUCH better. When Karin arrived I left to take that trunkload of Berean stuff to the post office. Mark got home from work about the same time I got back. We are expecting heavy wet snow by morning. The plow will need to be put on the tractor if we get more than 2 inches.
