A mild day for the 2nd day of January. Mike showed up as the walkers were reaching the barn. He took Blueberry out and brought her into the stall barn so she could be sticked. She officially sticks at 16.3 hands tall.
I was pleased with how quiet this big TB mare is.
Our plan is to breed her to Valiant in April for an early March 2024 foal. That will be one impressive Friesian cross! Mike is hoping for a filly to keep as his forever horse. I needed to be at mom's by 8:00 am so after the walk just went straight to mom's. We had a quiet morning. When Karin came home mom did some walking. Karin was cooking dinner and mom wanted to see what she was cooking.
When I left mom's Anna and the girls were here working at the barn cleaning up the construction mess. Phil stopped in with his carbon monoxide meter to check out our stove since the fire. It is working fine and it can still be used for baking. I just heated up chicken soup for our dinner.
