Rainy Sunday

Before we went to sleep last night I asked Mark if gets up first would he turn the coffee on. He agreed and we headed to bed around 7:00 pm. Our sleep schedule is off, Mark got up around 2:00 am. He had the lights on so I came out to get a cup of coffee believing it must be morning. I was shocked to see no coffee made and stated my disappointment when he exclaimed, "It is only 2:30 am, it is much to early to start the coffee maker." I headed back to bed and slept until 4:00 am then turned on the coffee. We had an easy morning then walked over to mom's condo for church. David Obergfel had the message this morning. Beth invited us all to her place for games after lunch. The kids all went swimming and hot tubbing there but it was cool and rainy so we played inside. At 3:00 pm Mark and I headed back to our condo to get supper started. We were having Nancy, mom, Joan, Anni, Matt, Faith, Mackenson, and Berlica for dinner tonight and I wanted to get the potatoes baking. We served bbq ribs, baked potatoes with sour cream and butter, salad, asparagus, rolls with butter and for dessert Amy's Christmas cookies and ice cream.  One of the special cookies Amy made for this huge tray was honey cookies. Mom took one and said, "these are delicious, ask her for the recipe."  We all burst out laughing as Amy got the recipe from mom years ago but Amy's really were exceptional. We played games all evening. Ruth and Fedi will be arriving in a couple hours.                                                                                                                                   Nolan's brother got married and Sarah and Nolan's daughters were the flower girls for this wedding. They both did very well. Sarah posted a few pictures.

They did 'perfect!'  Rosie's puppies are being very well socialized. They are so adorable Addyson, Jack, Jace and Abe are really enjoying them.

Rhoda reported that Hazel is doing a wonderful job taking care of her 4 puppies. They are all growing and doing well. What a blessing that all the puppies not only lived but are thriving and Hazel is healing well from her c section. Mark and I are really enjoying being down here in Gulf Shores even though the weather has been cool and rainy. We are getting lots of exercise walking to and from mom's and Beth's condos. Mike and Diane should have made it by now as they were suppose to arrive by 8:30 tonight. It really is fun when we can all vacation together.
