Loading Practice

I walked but only for 20 minutes with the group. When we got to the barn they helped load Kyro and I was on the way to Hoerr Vet clinic arriving just before 8:30 am. Dr. Hoerr was out with the sheep. He had a new lamb but the ewe wasn't with the lamb so he had to find the right ewe then get these two back together. As soon as he finished he gave Kyro a thorough exam and declared him sound. Kyro had the radial nerve injury at 2 days of age. Dr. Hoerr did acupuncture on the nerve. Later we took him and his dam to Middle Grove so he could get lots of exercise on that nerve and it worked. When I got home Isaiah was here ready to work with Ripper.

Ripper was taken to the round pen.

Ripper is so funny. He wanted to hold the stick.
Ripper was put away.
The trailer was backed into the indoor arena and Rosie brought in since today we were to practice loading. Rosie is leaving tomorrow. I had to clean the trailer out and Rosie was very curious about that.
She decided she may as well get inside the trailer to check it out.

She sniffed around, looked around and checked out the windows then jumped out.

While we were watching she got in and out about 10 times. She was enjoying hopping in then hopping back out and running around the arena.

She ended up standing quietly inside the trailer.
She was left in the indoor then later I came out, hooked up a leadrope and took her in and out with me. Each time she followed me willingly. She was led over to the water tank, took a good drink, led over to the hay bales and she munched on them so she was left for the night. She is getting picked up tomorrow around 10:00 am but I will need to drive her to the water tower as it is another big rig. Hope she loads as well in a big trailer.  Mom, Anni and Matt made it down to Gulf Shores. Mom called Beth this morning and exclaimed how beautiful the sunrise was as she was sitting on her gulf side balcony. She is pretty thrilled with her purchase. We listened to church online at our house tonight instead of heading over to watch on the big monitor at mom's house. Mike Reiker continued the Acts study.
