We bought One

Lily's colt was picked up early this morning for his long trip to Delaware. Isaiah arrived not long after and went right into the stall barn to start working with the new weanlings. When Karin arrived we drove over to Phil and Anna's to pick up the new truck so that she could take the big horse trailer to Jubilee. Shaeya, Kayla, Magda, Karin and Isaiah loaded Jury, Mika, Sally, Missy and Cookie for the trail ride. Below they are pulling out.
What is funny about this trip is that big trailer that says, "Horsemeister Friesians" all over it had no Friesians at all. Jury is an Andalusian, Mika is an Appendix and the other 3 are all Tennessee Walkers.
Joan and I went to Pekin to check out a motor home and ended up buying it. Pictures will be posted at a later time on that. I can't believe we bought one, it is 16 years old but in good shape. We went to Middle Grove for supper tonight. Mom and Aunt Jinnie had gone out for the afternoon and enjoyed a nice long pontoon ride, swimming, then a jeep ride for a tour of the property.  Below they are resting from all the afternoon activities.
Diane showed us their addition to the tiny house. They now have an upstairs AND a downstairs bathroom. The dormer also makes the upstairs feel much more roomy.
When Joan and the kids arrived they went right to work building a fire with some of the left over wood scraps from the construction.

We all pitched in food for dinner and feasted on bbq ribs, green bean casserole, salad, rolls, water melon and brownies and cookies for dessert. The girls are enjoying the hammocks after dinner while Mackenson keeps eating. He really enjoyed those ribs.

On the way home we had to stop to let a few young deer to cross the road in front of us. My camera was in the back so I didn't take a picture then but the at the next road there were 2 in the field not far from us. I quickly snapped a picture with my phone. Not the best photo.
Our trip home was uneventful. After running the garbage over to the dumpster I ran up to the barn to take care of the weanlings. Irish's filly seemed a little depressed and had not finished her grain. I put Lola's filly in with Irish's filly and when Lola's filly started eating out of the bucket so did Irish's filly. She just needed a little competition. Then as I was watching them on the monitor Lola's filly started picking on Irish's filly so she had to be moved. They all 3 are in in separate stalls. They will be back together when we put them in the paddock with the two boys in a couple days.
