Agility Competition

Our Airbnb guests left around 11:00 am and the next guests were due at 1:00 pm. While I was waiting to get in to clean a bale was moved into the cabin field. Sheena was covered by Valiant then she and her filly moved into the middle paddock and the 3 weanlings were brought into stalls and grained. It was only after everything was clean, the bedding washed and beds made up that I found out the guests coming in were going to be late.  These guests had a good run out in the field when they arrived then posed for a picture.
They are here for an agility competition. Their owner, was a trainer of Arabian horse for 30 + years but now is a dog trainer. She sent this picture of her showing her amazing mare Vivacious Leigh.
She WON the national CH show hack in 2003. Vivacious Leigh was actually born in 1994 and just passed away this year at the age of 26 years old.  Her oldest colt is 15 year old and has 6 national championships.
Today the 2 horse trailer was pulled out and I had Lily's colt and Oksana's colt practice loading, over and over until they were just stepping in quietly then turning around and quietly stepping out. Lily's colt was first then Oksana's and when I was satisfied both were put back. A couple hours later Lily's was taken back out, loaded and unloaded 5 more times. I'm pretty confident he will willingly walk into any trailer asked.
We had 2 loads of sand dumped on the volley ball court. Joan spread the first load. Mark worked on the second load this evening. It still needs to be smoothed out and raked.
