Middle Grove Drop Off and Pick Up

After our walk all 3 weanlings were brought into a stall one at a time, given grain, handled then taken back out and NONE of them ran from me. They are getting the routine down pat. Below is Oksana's colt.
Indy's colt went right for the grain and started chowing down until the cat jumped up on the stall beam.

He quickly ran over to the water buckets not quite sure what that strange animal was.
But soon wandered back to the grain bucket when the cat went back to that end of the barn. In the picture below the cat was watching him coming back to his grain.
Lily's colt just ignored the cat. He likes his grain.

Karin sent a text that she was going to taking Mika and Jury go trail riding at Jubilee. That meant the Exiss had to be taken off the old truck, the drop down hitch put on the bumper and the Eclipse trailer hooked up to the old truck as the other truck was with Phil and Anna on the way to Warren Dunes in Michigan with the camping trailer. Below Mika and Jury are loaded in the trailer and Karin and Shaeya are in the truck pulling out.
We have really appreciated the Eclipse trailer when hauling small loads.
When Karin and Shaeya got back we loaded Ripper up and took him out to Middle Grove.
He was thrilled to be back out there and went galloping up the hill. We hiked up the hill believing we would see the herd but the only horse in sight was Ripper. He would eat a bite of grass then lift his head and neigh.
Karin and Shaeya hiked the ridge but I walked back down the hill and took the truck and trailer to the far end. The horses were all lounging under the trees.
Ripper came running down and Isla ran right over to greet him. Isla is just huge for a 2 year old and wow does she ever have presence. She will be bred to Evan in the spring then once confirmed in foal make that long trip to her new home.
Irish and her filly were watching Isla and Ripper.
We didn't stay long as it was already getting late so didn't take pictures of all the horses there. If you want to see what I took of the horses click HERE. We haltered and led Sally, Missy and Cookie to the 2 horse trailer and easily fit all 3 inside for the trip back to Hanna City.
When we got back those 3 plus Mika and Jury were taken to the cabin field. Tomorrow a bale will be put in for them. Shaeya was taken home. Sheena is now finally showing and was covered by Valiant. Hopefully she will settle on this cycle. She does not show well when she has a foal by her side and yet we want to get her bred back as her foals by Valiant are spectacular.
Tonight we went to mom's for church. Fedi came over and hooked his phone to that big screen so we could all watch. Ruth left for New York, flying with Rebekah as she delivers a puppy. We will have an early night tonight.
