3 Gone

My day started at 3:30 am by 3:45 am I was loading horses and by 4:00 am Nolan arrived ready to take off for his long trip to deliver Zalena, Brynja and Magdalena. Nolan reported the destination was just 7 miles from the Nebraska state line and that's a LONG way from here. Our airbnb renters arrived very late so we didn't want to be running the machines until they were awake so instead went over to mom's and installed another light in her garage. We finished just as Karin was heading out with the truck and trailer, 3 horses and 3 riders for Jubilee.

Magda rode Jury, Isaiah rode Mika and Karin rode Sally on this trip. They reported all went well and the horses were great.  At 11:00 am Mark and I started cleaning paddocks.
Our airbnb renters were supposed to check out at 11:00am  and the next people wanted to check in early but the first group had such a late night they didn't leave until noon. As soon as they pulled away I jumped off the skid steer and went to work cleaning the apartment finishing it around 1:15 pm. All the dishes and laundry were taken down to the house since the apartment has plenty of supplies for a quick turnover. The next people were sent a text that it was ready and they responded they decided to come after their show in Peoria since they couldn't check in early. That gave me extra time to restock and scrub everything. The people that stayed last night gave a very nice review:  “Definitely recommend to anyone needing a place to stay while traveling. It was above my expectations. Clean and comfortable apartment. The horses were friendly and made our stay a bit extra special. They do have great cleaning ladies. Thank you for having this place available for me and my children. We enjoyed it and had a good night sleep.” Rhoda, Sarah, Anni, Jessica and Rebekah threw a baby shower this afternoon at the playground for Emily and Mitchel. They had a good meal and a great turnout. Below are a few pictures.

One funny thing happened, The man in the picture below showed up with a present for a boy.
He and his wife started looking around and realized he didn't know anyone. It turned out they were at the wrong party.

Nolan arrived back at the farm from his long trip around 6:00 pm.  Sarah and Nolan left the girls with us while they went out to eat for a quick meal before heading home to care for the puppies and I'm sure head to bed quickly after driving 14 hours.
