Alex the Cedar Waxwing

When we reached Joan's house on our walk this morning Alex came flying up to Joan and landed on her finger. He wanted to be fed. Alex is a Cedar Waxwing that Berlica has been feeding. He loves crickets and berries.

There are some interesting facts about Cedar Waxwings, a group of them together are called a "museum of Waxwings" Because they like berries and will gorge themselves on fermented berries they actually appear to be drunk. They have had just a few too many, that is a few too many fermented berries.
The horses were fed after the walk this morning and they all let me know that I was late.  Joshua was de-wormed with Quest Plus. He will be leaving for his new home after we get back from Gulf Shores.  Joshua is still sharing a bucket with Tori's colt.
Gracie, Irish's filly, thought she would be welcome to eat out of the same bucket too.
Check out Joshua's tail in the picture below. He really inherited the mega hair!
OF course Joshua had to check out each bucket before heading back to the one he was sharing with Tori's colt.
IT didn't take long for Joshua to ask Gracie to move back to her own bucket.

This filly really has a tremendous amount of feather for a 5 month old foal.
Evan was at the far end of the field when he heard me call. He comes quickly when he hears his name.

Valiant was also happy to hear his name and see me with the grain bucket.
When the horses were all fed the barn was swept and the stalls cleaned. We have airbnb guests coming in today and I like the barn nice and tidy. Once that was done I left for Sam's club. We needed groceries and I wanted to pick up some food for a vacation. We are taking a girls trip leaving Friday for Gulf Shores. This evening Mark and I went to mom's for church. Mom and Aunt Jinnie were joined also by Ruth, Joan, Diane, Faith, Mackenson, Berlica. After church we had a business meeting to decide how to list Bridlewood Apartments on a commercial website.
