Soul's Filly Sold

Today was the first day we all walked together since the Gulf Shores people made it home. Mom is now strong enough to walk with just her trekking sticks instead of using a walker. Mom and I quit a little early as we needed to get the to Berean office. We were pleasantly surprised to find helpers had arrived. Robin, Chuck and Glenna had already arrived and were hard at work.
Shirley came a few minutes later.
Kathy showed up just in time to answer letters.  We were so glad to see people other than just family!
We finished around 11:00 am and each of us took studies to drop off to graders houses.  We were SO thankful that ALL of the studies were claimed again this week.  Mom and I went to Walmart next. Mom needed to do a major shopping where I just wanted to pick up some liquid smoke to season the sausage from yesterday. Walmart didn't have the exact item I wanted but what I bought will work almost as well. As I was dropping mom off Beth Herman arrived and was heading over to Joan's house to drop off a duckling that had just hatched and the eggs that were ready to hatch they rescued from the Goose Ranch. She was keeping the eggs warm the best way she knew how until she could get them to Joan's house. Joan has an incubator.
Hopefully the rest of the eggs will hatch.
The groceries were unloaded at moms and even before I could get out of the drive Karin on Sangria came by with Tess on Sally, Wren on Missy and Tekoa on Cookie.

They were heading to the 'death trails'.
After supper Mark went out to cut down a tree. I thought he was heading over to cut down saplings on the dam when I heard a huge tree fall. He took on a BIG dead tree behind Indy's paddock. When the tree fell it spooked about every horse on the property along with spooking me.

Zalena settled down to graze pretty quickly as did Irish and her filly.

Indy was a little braver than Oksana and came to the fenceline to check that tree out.
Soon Irish and Zalena came also to check out the tree.

That is Evan's head in the far right in the picture below.
Tori was pulled out to check her udder and there was a tiny drop of colostrum on each teat. She really isn't waxing yet and not due for another 13 days but was put in the indoor arena for the night just in case.
My next job this evening was to tease Lola. Lola, Soul and their fillies were turned out in the pond pasture where they grazed for a bit then Lola was taken over to Valiant. She showed and was covered and stood well.
These foals had a very good time playing and showing off their moves and air's above ground.
Soul's filly is now sold and will be going to the same owner of Lola's filly. These best friends will be able to grow up together and remain best friends the rest of their lives. We are THRILLED that they get to go together!
