Karin arrived early to work with the horses and pulled Ayanna out first.
Sarah arrived with Zion and Eden so Zion came out with me to watch Karin train.
Karin pulled Galena out next and today I video'd Karin asking Galena to rear. She was very low key so it wasn't as impressive as usual.
We heard heavy equipment go by our house so jumped on the golf cart and drove over to mom's to see CILCO digging trenches to put a meter at mom's house so she can get solar. Mom's house has never had an electric meter, hers is hooked up to Sparks.
When we came back Karin was working with Rosalie.
Something set the horses in the pond pasture off and they were galloping across the pond and back. I thought the picture below was interesting in that Indy's colt is WAY off the ground.
Rhoda and Emily arrived to help Dr. Hoerr with the ulstrasounds that were scheduled today for Indy, Oksana, Galena, Zalena and Ayanna. and they brought Iris with them.
Dr. Hoerr was late so Israel, Elisabet and Zion got to go with me on the golf cart down the death trails to watch the first trail ride Karin had scheduled at 11:00 am.
Below is a short video of them doing one of the hills then galloping up the dam hill.
The second trail ride was scheduled at noon and was suppose to be for Stephanie, Israel and David but Stephanie wanted to walk with Rhoda, Sarah and Emily so Faith took her place.
Below is a short video of them. Israel wasn't sure Cookie would make it up the steep part and you can hear him exclaim "I did it!"

Dr. Hoerr arrived this afternoon. We had all the mares in the stalls ready for him and had him start on Zalena.
She is pregnant. Below Dr. Hoerr is showing Israel the picture on the ultrasound machine.
Zalena is officially due March 11th, 2021.
The next mare was Galena and she too is pregnant.
We were on a roll until we came to Ayanna.
Ayanna was open, bummer I thought we had caught her at the right time. The next mare was Indy. This one was crazy, Dr. Hoerr found a 14 day old embryonic vesicle but Indy was bred in March and as far as I knew had not come back in season. She was turned out in the pasture next to Evan but I can't believe he would be able to breed her through the fence. SO I had to make another vet appointment next Thursday for another ultrasound. It may be a failed pregnancy OR a cyst OR a miracle pregnancy. I'm guessing the first. Oksana was last and she was open. Oksana was only covered once on her foal heat so that wasn't a surprise but still I was hopeful. A bale was moved into their paddock and Rhoda and Emily put them away. Galena and Zalena were loaded up and taken to Middle Grove. Jenis was brought back and will stay here a week before I take her back to Middle Grove. We have a special job for her. She was put in with Roxanne and Tori was put in the indoor for the night.
We are expecting storms and I don't want to take a chance on her delivering outside. She is not waxed up or I would have her in a stall. We went to mom's for church tonight. Mike Kaisner had the message. Mom had a very nice fruit tray for refreshments afterwards.
