Jay was cutting the branches off this big fallen tree and this will make a bridge over that part of the lake.
If you would like to see the rest of the pictures click HERE. Although there are still pictures to go through. Mom fed us all lunch then the rain moved in so the work stopped. Rebekah and Karin worked with Irish in the indoor arena.
Phil and Anna came to my house to finish the living room ceiling.
The girls and I went shopping at Dollar General and brought back some crafts.
I was keeping an eye on Jewel's colt and by this afternoon it was obvious he was going to need fluids as his diarrhea was still bad. He was taken to Dr. Hoerr's and got an IV inserted so 2 liters of fluids could be given.
Dr. Hoerr's mare had a black filly yesterday by Valiant and of course I had to get a picture of her.
She is doing well. Jewel's colt was dramatically better after the fluids and started nursing right away. On the way home from the vet clinic Mike and Diane called that Zalena had her foal out there. This foal wasn't due for 25 more days. I drove out to Middle Grove and the 3 of us loaded them and brought them back to the barn.
Better pictures will be taken later. It is almost 10:30 pm and I am exhausted. The filly seems to be doing well. She is on the monitor and right now is sleeping but was just up nursing a bit ago. Zalena has delivered the placenta, the filly's cord has been iodined. Even though she is early she seems to be ok. Thankful they went out today.
