We had a cooler day that turned cold when the rain started pouring down. Lily and Zalena are now sharing the indoor arena with their foals and both are doing well.
Zalena is now coming into her foal heat but she was not covered. I have to have help for this cover as all of the paddocks are full. Usually we can use the breeding shed, put the foal in that and the mare is tied to the breeding stand right outside that paddock. The foal can see the mare and the mare can see the foal making her much more relaxed. Hopefully tomorrow I can move some horses into the round pen.
The big news today is Zalena's filly sold to a lady that has seen us at the IL Horse Fair for years. She loves the Friesians and is now going to have her own.
Anna and Kensley came today with a surprise. They got a new puppy, a King Charles Cavalier they are calling Pax. Those 3 girls are so excited.
They are very happy with their new puppy and Pax is very happy with them. Amy Koch arrived after work to drop off a baby gift for Eden and look at Lily's new filly. I'm not feeling well so didn't go out. Mark has been mowing all afternoon and evening and by the time he comes in he will be all caught up. He weed whacked this morning. There sure is a lot of grass growing around here.
