SOLD!

The weather took a turn for the worst today. It wasn't too bad this morning while cleaning stalls and during the walk but by mid morning the sky was spitting at us. Not a nice gentle mist, it was blowing bits of snow and ice at us each time we stepped outside.
Today Walter left for his new home. He was marked sold this evening.  He is going to be a dressage super star. He is pictured below at 3 weeks of age and even that young age his movement was amazing.
The buyer was so impressed with how he loaded quietly into the trailer. They were sure it was going to be a fight. What is interesting is they looked at Valiant and Rosaleigh and asked if they could buy her first foal.
I worked at Berean today late and still didn't get done. To read about our day there click HERE.
I got home just in time to pull Marika out, clean her stall, check her hoof, see if she had improved then grab the video camera and video the dress rehearsal for the vaulters. Karin wanted them to watch themselves to see how they could improve. I thought they were looking pretty good. The video will not be shared here though, this was just for practice. Marika was still lame on her back hoof but not near as bad as yesterday after we pulled the nail. The iodine dressing was removed tonight. Tomorrow before we leave for Springfield the hoof will be checked again. It may need to be soaked and packed again. She is on 35 cc's of Sulfa a day.
