Mark's solar system is now on line and producing electricity. Phil came over this afternoon to hook up the computer so we could see the output.
The fireplace insert wood burner also arrived and thankfully Phil helped haul that in the house. Cast iron is very heavy. It is sitting in front of the fire place ready to be installed. Not that I want to wish my life away but would LOVE to try this out. The house shall be WARM in the 2016 winter months. I had to change the vet appointment for Whitney and Rosalie as Friday there is a 10:00 am Berean meeting and the vet appointment was scheduled for 9:30 am. The vet clinic was able to fit the horses in at 3:00 pm today but I was still at the Berean office so Emily was asked to take them. Whitney is not yet cycling. We are hoping to breed her soon to Valiant then place her for sale. We would like to cut back on horses for this next winter and Whitney eats a LOT! Another reason we are considering selling her is that she takes up WAY to much room in the trailer so we find we never take her trail riding off the farm. We have too many riders and need as many horses as possible to fit in the trailers. Whitney takes up two spots.

She came through winter wonderfully, didn't lose any weight and will be ready to breed to Valiant soon. Her 2015 filly was our tallest, most impressive filly of the year. Her owner sent a text picture tonight of her wearing a saddle and writes: She has a good mind... we keep it fun. Dr. Hoerr pulled blood today for her new coggins. This mare loves the foals, when we took her filly away for weaning she adopted Sheena's colt Whistler and cared for him all winter. She was made to be a mom. She will be priced at $6000.00 once confirmed in foal. Now Whitney isn't perfect, she is fun riding but doesn't always have the best manners around the vet. She doesn't like shots and doesn't like her blood to be drawn so we make sure we take her to the clinic and place her in stocks for those. She is just too big to man handle.  She is fine to worm, lead, load, halter, ride, she has no buck, or rear.
Mike worked Ripper tonight, saddling him with the pack saddle then leading him around the neighborhood with the golf cart. Ripper will be 2 years old in May. We will need to get some updated pictures of him. This was taken last fall when he came in for gelding.

Diane drove a van load to church tonight. Tim Funk had an excellent sermon, exactly what I needed to hear. Praise God! After the sermon Tom Rieker gave a short update on Midwest Food bank. The more they give away the more comes pouring in. Amazing.
